Davin Berelowitz

Davin is a formidable partner. With a passion for engineering and proven design and construct expertise, he has a natural instinct to successfully deliver on difficult and challenging power projects.

With over 14 years’ proven experience in designing and constructing utility grade renewable and electrical infrastructure projects, Davin is renowned for achieving outstanding results. He's jointly developed two highly regarded design and construct companies, one in Australia (CPP) and one in South Africa (CONCO).

Davin has also worked for all four major utilities in New South Wales, and for Ergon Energy in Queensland. Plus, his proven ability to deliver successful renewable energy solutions, including Gullen Range Wind Farm and Oaklands Hill Wind Farm design, resulted in a unique trust with his clients and significant repeat business. With this experience, and his passion for driving new business growth and profitability through innovation, there is no issue that Davin has not seen or successfully dealt with. He is highly respected in the engineering sector for his integrity, focused strategic input, systematic work ethic and for using initiative and creative thinking to solve complex problems.

    • Participating as a key member of the transaction and negotiation team that sold CPP Australia to Quanta Services head quartered in Houston, Texas
    • Securing substantial repeat business with all four major utilities in NSW within six years of opening the CPP NSW business
    • 100% successful delivery and intimate involvement on every project undertaken
    • Delivering one of the first IEC 61850 implementations in an underground mine
    • Leading panel and project steering committees achieving 100% successful delivery on D&C wind farm projects, D&C substation projects and panel contracts
    • Driving the deployment of unique trenching methods on a wind farm in Australia, which proved an outstanding success, being faster and of higher quality than conventional methods
    • Delivering the first grid-connected wind farm in South Africa (Darling Wind Farm)

Mark Schneider

Mark is a highly respected renewable energy banker and power engineer. With over 25 years’ experience and a proven track record in power project development and financing.

Mark is a skilled financial entrepreneur with an enviable track record in project finance, and is renowned for sourcing high calibre institutional investors to fund renewable energy projects. Mark makes complex financing easy and simple for you, securing an optimal funding solution for each project.

Before joining forces with Davin, Mark established Megawatt Capital as a specialist consultant to the clean energy industry, supporting the likes of Belectric, a German solar company, and Muradel, a biofuels company. He also Chairs the South East Region Renewable Energy Excellence Industry Cluster (SERREE) and is a member of the Business Advisory Board of the ACT Renewable Energy Investment Fund.

For 11 years, Mark led Investec Bank’s Australian Power Investment business, a leading part of the firm’s international Project and Infrastructure Finance practice. Prior to this, Mark was National Australia Bank’s Global Merchant Power specialist in its Project Finance team, and established and led a successful proprietary electricity trading desk for Societe Générale.

    • Leading the early stage development of the Hornsdale Wind Farm in South Australia
    • Undertaking a principal investment in the Hornsdale Wind Farm (awarded a 20-year ACT Government feed-in contract for 309MW of energy), and the sale of that investment in stages at financial close
    • Developing the 206MW Collgar Wind Farm Project near Merredin in Western Australia, and its sale to a consortium of institutions in 2010
    • Launching Investec Bank’s proprietary power project development activities
    • Acquiring a controlling interest for a private investor in Advanced Marine Energy Co Ltd
    • Leading the development of a series of wind farm projects in Australia and New Zealand, including the Oaklands Hill Wind Farm, and the sale of those projects to AGL and Contact Energy
