Advisory

Providing reliable hybrid energy for a remote South Australian community

A renewable energy solution, to update and future-proof a generation asset.

Approach:

Client details and the location of this advisory project are Confidential.

TEC-C designed a renewable system solution for the client to update and refurbish its generation asset, using new renewable energy technology. This system required a robust solution that minimised operation and maintenance work while ensuring a utility grade level of availability and performance.

TEC-C worked with the client through several stages of project development, working out the solution in terms of its technical feasibility, commercial business case and various financial options.

An upfront investment of TEC-C’s time and resources to develop detailed concept designs, reduced contingency and risk cost allowance. Going into a significant amount of detail at an early stage enabled us to better identify, qualify and manage potential risks, addressing obstacles before they became an issue.

This approach offered a very high degree of price certainty, avoiding any surprises of costs or blowouts that might have been be passed on to the client.

TEC-C’s thinking and value proposition to the client was seen and valued as unique in the current renewable energy market.
