Phillip Island Community Energy Storage System

EPC of a registered and fully scheduled 5MW/10MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) connecting to the 22kV AusNet Services Distribution Network.

Approach:

On behalf of Mondo Power Pty Ltd, TEC-C is responsible for the full spectrum of project development, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of a registered and fully scheduled Battery Energy Storage System, connecting to the 22kV distribution network on Phillip Island.

TEC-C is coordinating with stakeholders and a variety of community groups throughout the project, ensuring it meets all requirements, including the business case, availability and network support services. TEC-C assisted the Client from technical engineering and financial modelling perspectives, with the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) component.

The BESS will have the appropriate design measure and latest fire suppression technology to meet the strict requirements of the Country Fire Authority (CFA).

TEC-C is engaging local suppliers, and working with experienced local sub-contractors for specific trade works. Deep technical knowledge is enabling the project to be aligned to TEC-C’s project development responsibilities with an “on the ground” technical delivery of the EPC of the project.
