TEC-C acquires the early-stage development of the 38 MW Molong Solar Farm from PwC and Terrain Solar

Investment

TEC-C identified the Molong Solar Farm early-stage development as an exciting investment opportunity located in a strong electricity network area, with solid community support and the potential to offer the future asset owner outstanding financial returns. The development had received its Development Application (DA) approval from Cabonne Council, with pending work to be completed with the grid connection approval process. The acquisition is a crucial milestone in establishing and growing TEC-C as a young business, allowing it to prove its capability to develop and perform the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) of its projects and provide these services to other Third Parties and clients.

Particularly Molong Solar Farm connects directly to the TransGrid’s Transmission Network, requiring the highest quality standards to ensure the safe operation of the electricity system in the area. The 38 MW size of the project and its requirement to be a registered generator with the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) to generate requires a considerable amount of expertise and resources.

The development location is close to the town of Molong, which is approximately 40km North-West of the city of Orange.
