TEC-C completes installation of Beecroft Weapons Range Solar Photovoltaic Systems for the Department of Defence

EPC

In completing the installation of the Beecroft Weapons Range solar PV systems, TEC-C and Defence Australia are committed to collaborating with Indigenous businesses and local land councils. TEC-C engaged the Jerrinja Local Aboriginal Land Council to lead the revegetation  works program at Beecroft Weapons Range in NSW as part of the installation of two new solar PV systems.

We have sourced the revegation plants from the Gumbaralang Native Nursery Enterprise that was a joint effort of Defence Australia’s industry partner JLL Augility to develop the nursery, which will plant thousands of native plants under the solar arrays at both the Navy Observation Post and Point Perpendicular Lighthouse sites. The creation of up to 12 trainee positions in a development program supporting local Aboriginal youth is also part of the initiative.

The installation of the solar and battery energy system is being delivered by TEC-C within the  Defence Renewable Energy and Energy Security Program.
